Everyday Bo Bear pushed the same button.
Honey spurted in bowls lined up by the dozens.
Although he did his best, and would never protest,
he’d sigh and walk to the end of the assembly line,
affixed cellophane on the honey bowls tight,
and afterward…no more…
the honey bowls were packaged and stored,
until the next dozen.
He went back to pushing the same old button.
But every day, Bo know what he wanted to be.
His thoughts and dreams buzzed like a fly loudly.
For in his visions, he was a gardener…
tending to roses, marigolds, chrysanthemums, and daisies.
And if his lot bore fruitful, bouquets he’d sell for cash.
He’d be the first to cultivate fields of bluegrass!
He’d envision himself happily singing songs while watering baby palms.
Then be hit with undeniable qualms…
Pointing him back to honey bowls in the factory,
like offspring, a huge responsibility, Bo could not leave,
for the good of the bear community.
So, he chose to keep his vision alive,
by planting seeds whenever he found time,
watering imaginary plants by his bedside.
